These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Ghostwriter application and related services ("Service") operated by App Launchers LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). By using Ghostwriter, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Ghostwriter is an AI-assisted book writing application. The Service helps you create structured book content by generating tables of contents, detailed blueprints, interview questions, and written sections using artificial intelligence. You provide the ideas, knowledge, and direction; Ghostwriter provides the structure and AI-generated drafts.

2. Accounts

You may use certain features of Ghostwriter without creating an account. To purchase Book Credits and save your work across devices, you must sign in using Apple's Sign in with Apple service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and for all activity under your account.

3. Book Credits and Purchases

Book Credits are consumable in-app purchases that enable AI-powered features within Ghostwriter.
Credits are tied to your account and can be used across your devices when signed in.
Credits do not expire.
All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policies.
Credit costs per operation are displayed in the app before each use.
New users receive a one-time bonus of free credits to explore the service.

4. Content Ownership and Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain full ownership of all content you provide to Ghostwriter, including your book topics, answers to interview questions, uploaded files, and any original material.
AI-generated content: Content generated by the AI service based on your input is provided to you for your use. You may use, modify, publish, and distribute AI-generated content as you see fit.
No claim by us: We do not claim ownership of your books, drafts, or any content created through Ghostwriter.
Our intellectual property: The Ghostwriter application, brand, design, and underlying technology remain our property.

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Content generated by Ghostwriter's AI features is produced by artificial intelligence and should be reviewed by you before publication. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is:

Factually accurate or free of errors
Free of unintentional similarity to existing published works
Suitable for any particular purpose without review and editing

You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all content before publication or distribution.

6. Third-Party AI Service

Ghostwriter uses OpenAI's API to generate content. By using AI features, you acknowledge that your book content is transmitted to OpenAI for processing, as described in our Privacy Policy. The app will request your explicit consent before sending any data to the AI service.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Ghostwriter to:

Create content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory
Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
Generate content intended to deceive, defraud, or mislead
Attempt to circumvent credit requirements or abuse the service
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will meet your specific requirements.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, APP LAUNCHERS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using Ghostwriter at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. You may request deletion of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of Ghostwriter after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
