What kind of books can I write?
Ghostwriter is built for nonfiction. Business books, memoirs, self-help, how-to guides, and thought-leadership books all work well. The process is designed around pulling your real expertise out of you and organizing it into a readable book. It is not built for novels, poetry, or formal academic publishing.
How does the credit system work?
You get 75 free credits with the app. That covers your table of contents, your full chapter blueprint, and your interview questions for a ten-chapter book — so you see the whole shape of your book before you spend anything. A finished book of about 30 sections uses roughly 300 to 400 credits. One Book Credit ($199.99) is 500 credits, which covers a standard book with room for around twenty section rewrites.
Will AI replace my voice?
No. The draft is built from your interview answers and your uploaded material, shaped by twenty style dials you set yourself — sentence complexity, tone, humor, metaphor frequency, pacing, and more. Every section then goes through your review. You approve, edit, or send it back with a note before anything joins your manuscript.
What devices does it run on?
iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with your books syncing across all of them through your Apple ID. Ghostwriter requires iOS 27 or macOS 27.
How do voice interviews work?
You have a live voice conversation with the app. It asks questions drawn from your own chapter briefs — specific to what each section has to accomplish — listens to your answers, and follows up on the interesting parts. Your speech is transcribed automatically, and those answers become the raw material your draft is written from. You can also type your answers instead, or upload recordings you made on your own.

Is my content private?
Your book is stored encrypted, in US data centers, behind per-user access rules — nobody but you and the people you invite can read it.
